In May, the Brunstad Christian Church (BCC) fellowships in Cameroon held their annual couples’ conference in Yaoundé. The conference focused on married couples and family life, but other older members were welcome to attend. The approximately 145 participants also included members from the other BCC fellowships in Cameroon, namely Bafoussam and Douala as well as BCC members from France (2), Norway (3) and South Africa (8).
The program for the conference weekend included two church services, a special dinner on the Saturday evening which included edifying messages from guest speakers, and warm fellowship with one another and visiting members. The program also included time for fellowship during the day on the Saturday and relaxing activities such as board games and arts and crafts.
The main topic at the church services was the importance of parents living god-fearing lives as disciples of Jesus Christ. Children are then drawn to Christ by the life they see in their parents. In this way parents leave their children a rich spiritual inheritance which is far more valuable than any earthly inheritance.
Judging from the testimonies below, the conference was not only edifying but motivated participants to find God’s will in their daily lives within the boundaries He has set for each one.

“In faithfulness I want to have eyes that see the opportunities and works that God has prepared for me in my circumstances, so that I can lead a victorious life and instead of criticizing others, I can pray for them. I want a living hope for my children and those around me.”
